In Celebration of Obsolescence by Ilgın Uçar

In Celebration of Obsolescence offered a journey through the remnants of the past, where every obsolete object/concept/sound tells a story, and every moment is a celebration of ephemerality.

In Celebration of Obsolescence was not merely an exhibition but a profound meditation on the passage of time, inviting viewers to confront their relationship with obsolescence and find beauty in the transience of existence. The exhibition features works by artists Ilgın Uçar, Ilkyaz Yagmur Ozkoroglu, Mehmet Ali Simayli and Rory Malone.

The exhibition showcased a diverse array of perspectives, each carrying its own narrative of obsolescence. From obsolete human habits to defunct political ideologies, from forgotten spaces to outgrownrelationships, from fashion ́s undeyble -rebirth- power over Obsolescence to discussion on the possibility of defining the human sound within this context.

The exhibition was on display between 27-28 April as part of the Sellerie Weekend.
